Special Council Meeting

RIVERTON CITY COUNCIL Minutes of the Special Council Meeting Held March 23, 2021 5:15 PM The special meeting of the Riverton City Council was held on the above date and time, duly convened by Mayor Richard P. Gard at 5:15 p.m. City Council Members present were Karla Borders, Lindsey Cox, Mike Bailey, Kyle Larson, and Kristy Salisbury. Council Member Cox led the pledge of allegiance; and Council Member Larson conducted the invocation. Roll call was conducted. Mayor Gard declared a quorum of the Council. City Staff present: City Clerk/Human Resource Director Kristin S. Watson, City Administrator Tony Tolstedt, Public Works Director Kyle Butterfield, Chief of Police Eric Murphy, Finance Director Mia Harris, Community Development Director Eric P. Carr, City Engineer Brendan Thoman and Administrative Assistant/Deputy City Clerk Megan Sims. Approval of the Agenda – Council Member Borders moved, seconded by Council Member Cox to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. Consideration of Hill Street Project Change Order – Public Works Director Kyle Butterfield presented Change Order Number 1 that was received for the Hill Street Improvement Project. Part of the change order is to address the increased material costs due to the current market changes in the amount of $37,895.67. In addition to the material cost price increase, Mr. Butterfield reported of additional utility work to reroute the transmission line away from 201 Hill Street to the newly re-plated Lot 1 of the Larsen Family Addition subdivision in the amount of $315,084.10. It was formally noted that Council Member Bailey does own the property the easement runs through for the transmission line; however, this line does not service that specific property. Council Member Bailey moved, seconded by Council Member Larson to approve change order number 1 to the Hill Street Improvement Project in the amount of $352,979.77. Motion passed unanimously. Adjourn – There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Gard adjourned the Regular Council meeting at 6:15 p.m. There was no objection from the Council.
