Special Council Meeting

RIVERTON CITY COUNCIL Minutes of the Special Council Meeting Held September 26, 2023 5:30 PM The special meeting of the Riverton City Council was held on the above date and time, duly convened by Mayor Tim Hancock at 5:36 p.m. City Council Members present were Karla Borders, Lindsey Cox, Mike Bailey, Kyle Larson, and Dean Peranteaux telephonically. Council Member Cox led the pledge of allegiance, and Council Member Borders conducted the invocation. Roll call was conducted. Council Member Larson moved, seconded by Council Member Cox to excuse Council Member Kristy Salisbury from tonight’s meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Hancock declared a quorum of the Council. City Staff present: Administrative Services Director Mia Harris, Public Works Director Brian Eggleston, Community Development Director Michael Miller, City Engineer Brendan Thoman, and Deputy City Clerk Max Batista. Approval of the Agenda – Council Member Larson moved, seconded by Council Member Cox to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. Consideration of Resolution Nos. 1478 & 1479: Community Development Block Grants – Public Works Director Brian Eggleston reported on the Wyoming Community Development Authority Block Grants. Administrative Services Director Mia Harris read Resolution Nos. 1478 & 1479 by title only. After discussion from the council and city staff. Council Member Borders moved, seconded by Council Member Bailey to approve Resolution No. 1478. Motion passed unanimously. Council Member Bailey moved seconded by Council Member Cox to approve Resolution No. 1479. Motion passed unanimously. Council Member Lindsey Cox asked the council on behalf of the 4-H club for permission to hang up flags for National 4-H week starting October 1st through October 8th. There was no objection from the council. Adjourn – There being no further business to come before the Council, Council Member Larson moved, seconded by Council Member Borders to adjourn the Special Council meeting at 5:49 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
