RIVERTON CITY COUNCIL Minutes of the Special Council Meeting Held July 14, 2021 5:30 PM The special meeting of the Riverton City Council was held on the above date and time, duly convened by Mayor Pro- Tempore Mike Bailey at 5:31 p.m. City Council Members present were Lindsey Cox and Kristy Salisbury. Council Members Dean Peranteaux, Kyle Larson, and Mayor Richard P. Gard were present telephonically. Council Member Cox led the pledge of allegiance; and Mayor Pro-Tempore Bailey conducted the invocation. Roll call was conducted. Council Member Cox moved, seconded by Council Member Salisbury to excuse Council Member Karla Borders from tonight’s meeting. Motion passed unanimously. Mayor Pro-Tempore Bailey declared a quorum of the Council. City Staff present: City Administrator Tony Tolstedt (telephonically), Public Works Director Kyle Butterfield, Finance Director Mia Harris and Deputy City Clerk/Administrative Assistant Megan Sims. Approval of the Agenda – Council Member Salisbury moved, seconded by Council Member Peranteaux to approve the agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. Open Container Permit Application: Bar Ten, Friday Night Cruise on July 16th on Broadway Ave from E Washington to Main St. – Council Member Salisbury moved, seconded by Council Member Cox to approve the open container permit application for Bar Ten on July 16th. Deputy City Clerk/Administrative Assistant Megan Sims reported of receiving a special event permit application from Bonnie Hawk on behalf of Bar Ten for the open container, street closure, catering permit and loud speaker for their event on July 16, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 12:00 am on Broadway Ave from East Washington St to Main St. Mrs. Hawk was also in attendance. Mayor Pro-Tempore Bailey expressed the importance to Mrs. Hawk regarding submitting permit applications in a timely manner. With no further discussion, roll call vote was conducted and the motion passed unanimously. Adjourn – There being no further business to come before the Council, Mayor Pro-Tempore Bailey adjourned the Special Council meeting at 5:36 p.m. There was no objection from the Council.
