TOWN OF ROBBINS Board of Commissioners Regular Meeting Thursday, March 09, 2023 – 6:00 PM apMeetingVenue Robbins Fire Department I. CALL TO ORDER Called to Order by Mayor Cameron Dockery @ 6:01pm PRESENT Mayor Cameron Dockery Mayor Pro Tem Nikki Bradshaw Commissioner Jody Britt Commissioner Kevin Stewart Commissioner Lonnie English ABSENT Commissioner Brandon Phillips II. INVOCATION – Mayor Dockery III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Led by Mayor Cameron Dockery IV. PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD NC G.S. 160A-81, 160A-81.1 Eric Williams giving a progress report of Robbins School Property. Also he had questions on what the Town would like to see on the property. Trying to find something we can do, should we sell, what is a needed? Clint stated "all the above" but it was suggested that Eric make a point to get together with Clint Mack at Town Hall. Lynn Williams -all covered by son, Eric. V. CONFLICT OF INTEREST – Does any Commissioner have a conflict of interest concerning agenda items the Board will address in this meeting? none VI. APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA All items below are considered routine and will be enacted by one motion. No separate discussion will be held except on request of a member of the Board of Commissioners. A. Minutes of February BOC Meeting Approved Motion made by Commissioner Stewart, Seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Bradshaw. Voting Yea: Mayor Pro Tem Bradshaw, Commissioner Britt, Commissioner Stewart, Commissioner English VII. OLD BUSINESS VIII. NEW BUSINESS A. Purple Heart Guidelines Purple Heart Guidelines -Submitted to Board for Review and it is agreed that Charlie Smoak will be head up the Purple Heart Guidelines for the City. Motion made by Mayor Pro Tem Bradshaw. Voting Yea: Commissioner Britt, Commissioner Stewart, Commissioner English IX. MANAGER'S REPORT Reviewed by Clint Mack Reimbursements on Track with Fema; Working on Budget; Sales Tax is at 135% Task Force with Moore County went great, Mayor and Manager were encouraged. Sewer Lines from Seven Lakes it makes sense to input-Our ORC reiterated we could handle it. KStewart mentioned the digester built for Perdue was 1M a day capacity and now its 3M/month Informed BOC on Diesel in Gas Tanks how its affected our fleet-reviewed contract by TC and will be changing Oil Vendor/ Mack reiterated Insurance on their part would take care of it. Mack- Reminder of Site Development meeting will be Monday at 1pm A. February 2023 Manager Report February 2023 Manager Report-Comments on Report Bradshaw: Would like to see a Sidewalk Grant to improve our sidewalks for the safety of our pedestrians and handicap. (Mack stated we could do a sidewalk tax) Britt: Thank you for the church zone signs. Good info, thanks for all you do. X. COMMISSIONER'S COMMENTS Britt: Thanks for all you do! Bradshaw: Nothing Mayor Dockery: No Stewart: No English: You did a good job on the water, it's my pet peeve, if you get it done,I'll kiss you.
