LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING APRIL 14, 2026 COMMUNITY ROOM 6:30 PM MINUTES 1.Meeting Call to Order at 6:30 pm Peg Higgins Ward 1 Candy Bailey Ward 3 Alex de Geofroy Ward 5 Bruce Jolin Ward 6 Nat Goodspeed, City Manager’s Designee Pam Hubbard, Trustee Emerita Marie LeJuene, Library Director Katherine Parker-Wright, Patron Services Supervisor Absent: Samantha Gee Ward 2 Kathy Noble Ward 4 2.Acceptance of Minutes of March 10, 2026 Regular Meeting AD1/ BJ2 3. Treasurer’s Report Spending is on track. 4. Communication from Library Director a. Budget Retreat is May 8; Marie will make presentation for position upgrade b. NHLTA Spring Conference is May 27 5. Old Business a. Law enforcement presence in library policy reviewed; further discussion may be needed with staff about public vs. private areas b. Trust Account at Citizens Bank: discussion about digital vs. paper statement; who should have access to account; will revisit at next meeting 6.New Business a. Holiday /Staff Training Closures- Calendar of proposed closings for 2026 calendar year presented and accepted.AD1/BJ2 b. Meeting Room policy with added indemnity clause reviewed and accepted. AD1/BJ2 c. ILL policy update concerning ending fines for overdue books. These are only fines that are remaining. Accepted BJ1/AD2 7. Other Peg Higgins is moving out of the city. She will resign her position on the Board. Pam Hubbard has agreed to chair the May and June meetings. Election of officers will be held in September. 8.
