LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES REGULAR MEETING May 12, 2026 Community Room 6:30 PM MINUTES 1. Meeting Call to Order Samantha Gee, Ward 2 Candy Bailey, Ward 3 Kathy Noble, Ward 4 Alex de Geofroy, Ward 5 Bruce Jolin, Ward 6 Katherine Parker-Wright, Patron Services Supervisor Absent: Ward 1-Vacant Nat Goodspeed, City Manager’s Designee Marie LeJeune, Library Director 2. Acceptance of Minutes of the April 14, 2026 Regular Meeting, BJ1, AD2 3. Treasurer’s Report Spending is on track 4. Communications from the Library Director a. FY27 Budget Retreat – Katherine and Marie attended the retreat. b. Data Governance – It Department has started this. Marie is on the Committee c. Cabling Project i. Keyless Entry – IT has begun working on this ii. Cameras – IT has started working on updating the cameras. The library will need to be closed for a day so the wiring can be done. d. Obelisk Refresh – The Obelisk near the parking lot has gotten a glow-up with fresh pain and a new design. 5. Old Business a. Law Enforcement in Library – The Search and Seizure of a Public Member by Law Enforcement was gone over and discussed. AD1 and SG2 motioned to accept this. b. Trust Account at Citizen’s Band digital vs. paper statement – this was tabled until the next meeting.  6. New Business a. Customer Service Challenges – Discusssed Customer Service Standards. Will discuss more at the June Meeting. b. Local Author Collection Policy – this will be discussed further at the June meeting. 7. Other a. Staff did an amazing job with a recent emergency in the Children’s Room b. Someone donated 2 plates. One had the library painted on it and the other had Woodman Park on it. They are displayed in the Rose Room. 8. Adjourn – Meeting adjourned at 7:44 PM, AD1, BJ2 Next meeting will be held June 9, 2026 at 6:30 PM in the Community Room
