Rochester Trustees of the Trust Funds Meeting Minutes Tuesday, February 10, 2026 3:00 PM Spaulding High School Members Present in Person: Brett Johnson Jerry Rainville Matthew Winders Jill Trombley Ray Varney Others Present: Mr. Justin Roy, Principal of Spaulding High School Ms. Lauren Krans, Director of Rochester Recreation & Arena Ms. Emelia Lamie, Facilities and Operations Attendant with Rochester Recreation & Arena Minutes I. Call to Order: Trustee Johnson called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM. II. Roll Call and public input: No one from the public was present. III. Approval of minutes from last meeting: Minutes from November 2025 meeting will be approved at the Trustees’ next meeting. IV. Items to Discuss a) Tour of Spaulding High School with Principal Roy. Principal Roy gave the Trustees a tour of the Compassion Closet and Raider Pantry to show us the impact of funds that were distributed from the William Evans Trust. A key takeaway is that the need continues to increase so additional financial support is always welcome. b) Discussion on Scholarship Funds and Complete Distribution Spreadsheet for 2026. The scholarships spreadsheet was finalized, and Trustee Johnson will forward to Angela Green at Spaulding High School to distribute to the Scholarship Committee. c) Complete Sarah L. Varney Transfer to Women’s Fund Scholarship Fund. This form was signed by all Trustees and Trustee Johnson will forward to Bar Harbor Wealth Management. d) Sign Charles Edwin Hussey Form. This form has already been completed. e) Discussion on Library Disbursements & Sign Forms. The Trustees  completed this form and Trustee Johnson will be forwarded to Bar Harbor Wealth Management. f) Discussion on Community Action Partnership of Strafford County and Funds Recently Distributed from Mary McDuffie Whitehouse Fund. It was noted that the Trustees have not received any formal acknowledgement of thank-you regarding these funds from the CAP of Strafford County. g) Discussion on Memo from Recreation Director Lauren Krans. Recreation Director Krans visited alongside Emelia Lamie who is the new Facilities and Operations Attendant who will be focused on Dominicus Hanson Park. There was discussion on how to improve usage and engagement within The Pines. There will be a River Day inside Dominicus Hanson Park and the Recreation Department will let us know when this event is held. h) Discussion on how to drive traffic to Dominicus Hanson Park. All Trustees have been tasked with thinking of ways to improve usage. Initial ideas were to once again hold Cross Country races inside Hanson Pines and possibly hold summer camp walks as well. i) Other. The Trustees signed a receipt form for monies received for the Joseph Bernier Fund and the form will be forwarded to Bar Harbor Wealth Management. The Trustees confirmed Trustee Rainville’s appointment to the Spaulding High School Scholarship Committee. Trustee Winders will reach out to the Spaulding High School Library Department regarding the Charlotte Leighton and Sadie Merriam library funds. V.Adjournment and public input: No one from the public was present. The Trustees will meet next on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Trustee Johnson adjourned the meeting.
