Mar 12, 2024 5:00 PM | RESAC Monthly Meeting Attendees: rocklandresac@gmail.com maryelleneagan@gmail.com scarletlabbewatson@gmail.com 150092985@email.rsu13.org nathan.r.smith1@maine.edu jcarter@rocklandmaine.gov cevans@gwi.net ndavis@rocklandmaine.gov leehums@gmail.com toddskifast@gmail.com Attached files: Mar 12, 2024 | RESAC Monthly Meeting Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5040315241?omn=82401651427 Meeting Minutes 1.​ Recording Secretary selection - Todd 2.​ Approve minutes from last meeting - Minutes from both January and February were approved 5-0 3.​ Public comment: 5 min. - none 4.​ Introduction of guests/potential new members if present - none 5.​ Additions to the agenda - Recognition of Joshua Paladais for recent academic achievement 6.​ Committee Administration a.​ Community Guidelines (10 min discussion+vote) - approved 5-0 i.​ Add “First Draft Language” ii.​ Respecting each other as neighbors and community members. iii.​ Being aware the volume of airtime your taking up 1.​ Be cognizant of when to step up/step back iv.​ This can be a fluid document. b.​ RESAC Duties (5 min discussion) c.​ Subcommittees (10 min discussion) - Agreement that there should be 4 subcommittees that are focused on; Electric Expo, Bike to Work & School Day, Rockland Harbor Cleanup/Earth Day and Window Dressers d.​ Student member code change (10 min discussion + vote) i.​ Change to up to 3 student members: unanimous ii.​ First year: March, 2023 iii.​ Rules of procedure 1.​ We vote on this 2.​ Codified=city council votes iv.​ Recruitment e.​ Google Drive + My Rockland (5 min discussion) - Nathan provided brief demo of Google Drive and current RESAC file system f.​ New Member Orientation (10 min discussion) i.​ How should new members be onboarded? ii.​ Ellie 1.​ Where to get info on committee a.​ PDF or package i.​ Member bios ii.​ Charter iii.​ Mission iv.​ Overview of subcommittees v.​ Logistical things 1.​ Meetings 2.​ Member expectations vi.​ Committee Achievements b.​ New Member Materials, look for this c.​ Process i.​ Anyone can apply to the city council ii.​ Invitation to apply via email, that includes details about the process d.​ Should we vote? 7.​ Sustainability Coordinator Update (10min) - Slides provided by J Carter can be accessed on RESAC Google Drive 8.​ Subcommittee Update(20min) 9.​ Next Meeting and Wrap Up(5min) Action items ●​ Add recruitment strategies for student members to April Agenda ●​ Include new member flow chart in the April Agenda
