IN-ROADWAY WARNING LIGHTS ON PALOS VERDES DRIVE NORTH AND ROLLING HILLS ROAD Recommendation: Based on the field observation of the IRWLs on Palos Verdes Drive North and on Rolling Hills Road, the IRWLs are operating as designed. It is recommended that: The School Pedestrian Ahead sign for southbound traffic on Rolling Hills Road be removed.; City Staff continue to monitor and trim the landscaping/vegetation in the vicinity of the crosswalk entrances to provide visibility at these locations.; The IRWLs continue with yellow flashing lights. PALOS VERDES DRIVE EAST - CONSIDERATION OF BIKE LANE INSTALLATION Recommendation: That the Traffic and Safety Committee discuss the placement of bike lanes and other improvements on Palos Verdes Drive East, and if interested, direct staff to obtain a proposal from Willdan Engineering to prepare a conceptual design (Phase I) and final design (Phase II).
