Welcome and Introduction of Visitors
Johnson welcomed the public to the meeting and requested that all visitors sign in.
Approval of Minutes from August 2022 Meeting
Burkhalter made a motion to approve the August 2022 minutes, which was seconded by Lambert.
The motion passed by common consent.
Approval/Modification of Agenda
Burkhalter made a motion to approve the agenda, which was seconded by Lambert.

ROME/FLOYD ZONING VARIANCE APPLICATIONS:
BOA22-10-05, for the property at 2781 & 2524 N. Broad Extension, Rome, GA 30161, Floyd County Tax Parcels K12Y028, K13X066,
K13X066A, zoned High Density Traditional Residential, requests variances to reduce the road frontage and lot width from 60-feet
to a mix of 50-feet and 52-feet.
Assistant Director Wood presented the application, staff report, and staff recommendation of approval on the condition that
the roads are an additional twelve inches wider per the Fire Marshal request. Johnson opened the public hearing. Walt Busby
was present to speak in favor of the application. Sam Evans also spoke in favor of the application. No one was present to speak
in opposition. Johnson closed the public hearing and opened the floor for discussion amongst the voting members. Burkhalter

parcels that front on Hwy 53.

opened the public hearing. No one spoke in favor or in opposition of the application. Johnson closed the public hearing and
opened the floor for discussion amongst the voting members. Williamson made a motion to approve which was seconded by
Lambert. The motion passed 4-0.

public hearing. Wayne Robinson was present to speak in favor. No one spoke in opposition. Johnson closed the public hearing

and opened the floor for discussion amongst the voting members. Burkhalter made a motion to approve which was seconded
by Williamson. The motion passed 4-0.

NEW BUSINESS: Senior Planner Brittany Griffin mentioned the post cards with the scan code for the Comprehensive Plan
Survey are going out and encouraged participation. Williamson asked for update on the ULDC and Director Artagus Newell
advised that the draft is being worked on and hopes to have this ready for public review in the coming months.
ADJOURNMENT:
Burkhalter made a motion to adjourn which was seconded by Lambert and passed by common consent. Meeting was adjourned
at 3:07 pm by Johnson.
