ROME CITY COMMISSION Special Called Meeting Tuesday, May 30, 2023 The Rome City Commission met in a Special Called meeting at 9:35 a.m. on this date in the Sam King Room of City Hall, 601 Broad Street. Mayor Stevenson presided with Commissioners Bojo (present via Zoom), Beeman, Quick, Askew, Collins, and McDaniel present. Mayor Pro Tem Cochran and Commissioner Doss were absent. Water Lawsuit Settlement Resolution Commissioner McDaniel moved that the Rome City Commission adopt the resolution regarding settlements related to Rome’s lawsuit regarding PFAS in Rome’s water supply, and authorize the City Attorney and/or the City Manager to execute any and all necessary settlement documents to effectuate, formalize, and/or finalize any of the settlement agreements, on behalf of the City of Rome Georgia, and to specifically execute any and all necessary settlement documents, to effectuate, formalize, and/or finalize a settlement agreement with Dalton Utilities. Commissioner Quick seconded the motion, and the vote was unanimously in favor. Adjourn With there being no further business, Mayor Stevenson adjourned the meeting at 9:42 a.m. Joseph F.
