Approval of November 2022 Agenda The agenda was approved by common consent. Approval of Minutes from the September 2022 meeting. Boss made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Dunay and approved by common consent. CITY OF ROME CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS:  COA810-22 22 E. 10th St Senior Planner Brittany Griffin presented the staff report and the application to the Commission and the public. Chair Clonts opened the public hearing. Brixce Ramos spoke in favor of the application. No one was present to speak in opposition. Chair Clonts closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. The roof had already been started and it was clarified that they were to review if the materiality was appropriate to continue moving forward with project. Hager motioned to approve, which Boss seconded. The motion passed 5-2. 1 MEMBER MEMBER M – Motion F – For A – Against S – Second AB – Abstained A Paula Blalock M Jake Hager F David Clonts F Mandy Maloney F Beth Dunay S Logan Boss A Millie Kim NEW BUSINESS: Senior Planner Griffin presented the Signage Guideline Update for review. Maloney made a motion to approve with verbiage update to read: Back lit signage is permitted, but limited to no more than 50 lux to prevent spillover. This was seconded by Boss and approved by common consent. ADJOURNMENT: Maloney made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Dunay. The meeting adjourned at 2:51 pm by common consent. Next Public meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission: The next regular monthly meeting will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 2:30 pm, in the Sam King Room in City Hall, 601 Broad Street. 2
