Welcome and Introduction of Visitors
Chair Clonts welcomed the public to the meeting and requested that all visitors sign in.
Approval of August 2023 Agenda Dunay made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Boss. The agenda was approved by common
consent.
Approval of Minutes from April 2023 Boss made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Hager. The minutes were approved by
common consent.
CITY OF ROME CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS:
COA818-23: 312 E 7th St Condominium 5 East Rome Historic District
Planning Director Brice Wood presented the staff report and the application to the Commission and the public.
Chair Clonts opened the public hearing.
Bill Jones spoke in favor of the application. They are taking in the closet to add on to the bathroom to make it handicap accessible and the
addition will be to add a closet back. The addition will be kept consistent with the existing exterior.
Steven Chumbler was present to speak in opposition. He spoke on behalf of the HOA and that the work has not been authorized or
approved by the HOA.
Chair Clonts closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments.

Dunay noted that the HOA restrictions were outside of their jurisdiction and what they could consider when deciding their vote. Clonts
asked if there have ever been any additions done previously. Steven Chumbler confirmed that there had been in the past but those were
done without authorization and prior to the HOA Board operating correctly.
Boss made the motion to approve the request and Hager seconded. The motion passed 4-0.

ADJOURNMENT:
Hager made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Dunay. The meeting adjourned at 2:47 pm by common consent.
