Approval of November 2024 Agenda There were no modifications to the agenda. The agenda was approved by common consent. Approval of Minutes from September 2024 Blalock made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Schroeder. The minutes were approved by common consent. CITY OF ROME CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS: COA828-24: 101 E 3rd Ave Between the Rivers Historic District Planning Director Wood presented the staff report and the application to the Commission and the public. Vice Chair Moss opened the public hearing. No one was present to speak in favor of the application. No one was present to speak in opposition. Vice Chair Moss closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. 1 Blalock made the motion to approve the request, which was seconded by Waguespack. The motion passed 4-0. MEMBER MEMBER M – Motion F – For A – Against S – Second AB – Abstained Cameron Abney M Paula Blalock F Sam Moss Logan Boss F Caleigh Schroeder Tayesha Lytle S Julie Waguespack COA829-24: 200 Broad St Between the Rivers Historic District Planning Director Wood presented the staff report and the application to the Commission and the public. Vice Chair Moss opened the public hearing. Nicole Bogue spoke in favor of the application and was available to answer questions regarding the project. They would like to go with the first awning option that was presented. No one was present to speak in opposition. Vice Chair Moss closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Blalock made the motion to approve the request, which was seconded by Waguespack. The motion passed 4-0. The meeting adjourned at 2:48 pm by common consent. Next Public meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission: The next regular monthly meeting will be Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 2:30 pm, in the Commission Chambers in City Hall, 601 Broad Street.
