Minutes of the Cemetery Board Meeting Tuesday, January 18, 2022 REGULAR MEETING 4:00 P.M Committee Member Present: Jack Ferguson, President Jim Bloodhart, Vice President Danny Fulkerson, Member Jake Trujillo, Member Juan Oropesa, Liaison Committee Member Absent: Jeremy Hurley, Secretary Staff Present: Ruben Esquivel, Cemetery Superintendent Daisy Diaz, Cemetery Administrative Assistant Call to Order President, Jack Ferguson, called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. Committee members present Trujillo, Bloodhart, and Fulkerson. Approval of Agenda Mr. Ferguson moved to approve the agenda as presented. Mr. Trujillo seconded. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried, the January 18, 2022 agenda was approved. Approval of Minutes Mr. Fulkerson made a motion, seconded by Mr. Trujillo to approve the minutes of the October 19, 2021 meeting. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried. Action 1. Consider approval on Columbarium Proposal- President Jack Ferguson entertained a motion to proceed with the columbarium proposal and have it presented to the Finance Committee. Mr. Trujillo moved to approve the proposal Mr. Fulkerson was second. A voice vote was unanimous and motion carried. Non-Action Items 2. Sexton’s Report- Superintendent Ruben Esquivel reported 31 services for October, 25 services for November being the lowest number of services for the year, and 32 services for December for South Park Cemetery and General Douglas McBride Veteran’s Cemetery. As of January 18, 2022, 28 funerals had taken place. 3. Bookkeeper’s Report- Mrs. Diaz reported six lot sales and six contracts for October. One pay off, six lot sales, and one new contract for November. For December there was one transfer of property, three pay offs, two lot sales, and one new contract. Ending the year with seven transfers of property, thirteen contracts paid off, eighty lot sales, and twenty-four new contracts. 4. End of year update- Mr. Esquivel stated the 411 services held for the year being the most services done in more than 10 years.
