Regular Meeting of the General Services Committee Held in the Conference Room at City Hall February 23, 2016 Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through 10-15- 4 NMSA 1978 and Resolution 15-56. ROLL CALL The meeting convened at 4:00 p.m. with Chairman Oropesa presiding and Councilors Best and Sanchez present. Councilor Mackey was absent. Staff present: Tim Williams and Shelia McKnight Guests present: Barry Foster APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilor Best moved to approve the February 23, 2016 General Services Committee meeting agenda as presented. Councilor Sanchez was the second. A voice vote was 3-0 and the motion passed with Councilor Mackey being absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Councilor Best moved to approve the minutes of the January 26, 2016 General Services meeting. Councilor Sanchez was the second. A voice vote was 3-0 and the motion passed with Councilor Mackey being absent. REGULAR ITEMS None NON-ACTION ITEMS Receive an Update on Upcoming Parks and Recreation Activities Tim Williams, Parks and Recreation Director, and Shelia McKnight, Recreation Supervisor, gave the committee a rundown of upcoming events in 2016 for the months of March through July. Activities and concerns also discussed are the following:  Youth basketball games  Cahoon Pool and bath house  Martin Luther King Park sign  Adult Center dance floor  Girls’ softball complex awnings  Convention Center operational policies and procedures PUBLIC PARTICIPATION None ADJOURN The meeting adjourned at 4:27 p.m.
