MINUTES OF THE OCCUPANCY TAX BOARD MEETING Tuesday, September 26, 2017 Regular Meeting 2:30 P.M. CALL TO ORDER AND WELCOME – The regular meeting of the Occupancy Tax Board convened at 2:30 p.m. ROLL CALL Members Present: Kerry Moore, Roxanne Slayton, Jill Cleveland, Josh Ragsdale Members absent: Jim Fielding A quorum was present. Staff Present: Juanita Jennings, Director of Public Affairs, Allison Gray, Tourism & Event Manager, Sharon Coll, City Clerk Others Present: Paula Grieves, representative from Roswell Jazz Festival, Cla Avery, representative from Roswell Hike It & Spike It, Donovan Fulkerson, representative from Roswell Film Festival, Dallas Means, representative from Roebuck Media, Jimmy Masters, representative from Friends of Bitter Lakes, Perry Toles, representative from Bottomless Triathlon, Elaine Mayfield, representative from Galacticon and Kennel Club, Molly Boyles, representative from MainStreet Roswell, Kecia Hopper, representative from Milkman Triathlon, Barbara Gomez, representative from Plan-it Productions, and Kathy Lay, representative from MainStreet Roswell. APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Mr. Ragsdale motioned to approve the agenda. Ms. Slayton Ragsdale seconded the motion. A voice vote was unanimous (4-0) and the motion passed. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – Ms. Moore asked if there were any changes to the minutes from the August 29, 2017 Occupancy Tax Board meeting. Ms. Gomez had exceptions to the minutes and will submit those changes for consideration. Ms. Clayton motioned to table the minutes until the next meeting. Mr. Ragsdale seconded the motion. A voice vote was unanimous (4-0) and the motion passed. PUBLIC COMMENTS - There were no public comments. REGULAR ITEMS (Action Items): 1. There were no regular or action items on the agenda. Other Business / Non-Action Items / Information Items / Reports (Non-Action Items): 2. Informational Meeting on Lodgers Tax Policy PA18002 adopted by the City Council on August 10, 2017: Ms. Jennings and Ms. Gray presented an informational session on Lodgers Tax Policy PA18002 adopted by City Council on August 10, 2017. The informational session 1  discussed the purpose, application process, policy, reimbursement process, examples and advertising. 4. Reports The Lodgers Tax reports were reviewed. ADJOURN Ms. Cleveland motioned to adjourn. Mr. Ragsdale seconded the motion. A voice vote was unanimous (4-0) and the motion passed.
