The meeting was called to order at approximately 3:35 p.m.

Final Presentation by Texas Tech University College of Architecture Students
Roswell: A Study in Place Making
Presentation by eight Texas Tech College of Architecture Fall 2017 graduate students who
explored Roswell’s uniqueness of culture and place. These students presented their final
group and individual analyses, models, graphic renderings, and findings to enhance both
the quality of life for Roswell residents, the visitor experience, and economic vitality.

Final Presentation by Texas Tech University College of Architecture Students
Roswell: A Study in Place Making
During the 2017 Fall Semester, eight Texas Tech College of Architecture graduate students
explored Roswell’s uniqueness of culture and place. The resulting TTU Urban Tech Design Center
team and individual visioning projects explore Roswell’s townscape. Utilizing analysis techniques
from urban planner Kevin Lynch’s Planning in Place in the City, the students discovered Roswell’s
hidden qualities. On December 1, these students will present their final analyses, models, graphic
renderings, and findings to enhance both the quality of life for Roswell residents, the visitor
experience, and economic vitality.
