No. 17 Propositions:
a) Proposition No. 1 Six Year Levy Lid Lift
Official Ballot Title: The Board of Fire Commissioners of Pierce County Fire Protection District
No. 17 adopted Resolution No. 18-002 concerning an increase in the District's regular property tax
levy. If approved, Proposition No. 1 will restore the previously voter approved rate of $1.50 per
$1,000 of assessed valuation in 2019 for fire protection and emergency medical services, thereby
exceeding the 1 % limitation on annual increases in tax revenues, and allow annual increases of up to
6% annually for each of the succeeding five years, subject to applicable statutory limitations. The
2024 levy dollar amount will be used to compute the limitation for subsequent levies; all as provided
in Resolution No. 18-002.
b) Proposition No. 2 Six Year Levy Lid Lift

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROY, PIERCE COUNTY,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE ROY CITY CODE TITLE 4, BUSINESS AND LICENSE
REGULATIONS, CHAPTER 1, BUSINESS AND OCCUPATION LICENSING AND
TAXATION, AND ARTICLE 1A, ADMINISTRATION OF BUSINESS AND OCCUPATION
LICENSING, TO ADOPT UPDATES TO THE MODEL BUSINESS LICENSE ORDINANCE.
