MINUTES PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD Thursday, April 4, 2013 Mahany/Meininger Senior Center MEMBERS PRESENT: Stan Schaffer, Mike Ripinski, Rob Winter, Mark Ryan, Vince Cassisa and City Commissioner Fournier ALSO PRESENT: Tod Gazetti, Greg Rassel, Brian Ashley, and Glen Pulice Royal Oak Golf Center MEMBERS EXCUSED: Todd Menig, Bill Staubach, Alex Fike Chairperson Schaffer called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. Approval of Minutes: Motion by Winter, seconded by Ripinski to approve the February 7, 2013 minutes. Motion passed unanimously. City Commission Comments: Commissioner Fournier informed the Board the Commission is looking at open fire pit permits with the possibility of the revenues from the permits going to Recreation. Business/Public Comments: Royal Oak Golf Center Fee Increase – The Royal Oak Golf Center has not raised fees in 10+ years due to rising expenses over the last decade. Mr. Ashley has requested a $.50 increase to a small bucket, $.75 increase to a medium bucket, and a $.25 increase to a large and jumbo bucket. Motion to accept price increase by Ripinski, seconded by Ryan. Motion passed unanimously. Informational Items: a. Parkfest – Verbal update, no action needed b. Adopt-A-Park – Verbal update, no action needed c.
