CITY OF ROYAL OAK REHABILITATION BOARD OF APPEALS MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING HELD ON JULY 23, 2013 A regular meeting of the Rehabilitation Board of Appeals was held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Room 309 of City Hall. PRESENT: ABSENT: John D’Agnillo Chairperson James Johnson Commissioner Kyle DuBuc Bill Willard Vice Chairperson Pete Mancour Carl Stone Marshall Thompson STAFF ALSO PRESENT: Debbie Murray, Rehabilitation Finance Officer ********** Chairperson Johnson called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. ********** PUBLIC COMMENT Chairperson Johnson opened the Public Comment, hearing none, the Public Hearing was closed. ********** MINUTES of MARCH 26, 2013 MEETING MOVED by Mr. D’Agnillio SUPPORTED by Mr. Stone To Approve the March 26, 2013 minutes as presented APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY (4-0) ********** MINUTES OF MAY 28, 2013 MOVED by Mr. D’Agnillo SUPPORTED by Mr. Stone To Approve the May 28, 2013 minutes as presented APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY (4-0) ********** Rehabilitation Board of Appeals July 23, 2013 Page 2 REHABILITATION APPEALS Case L/G-2572/12. Ms. Murray stated that this case had been approved by the Board at the May meeting for an installment loan of $32,000 and a grant of $20,000. Since that time the contractor has lost his lead worker and will be unable to complete the job in a timely fashion. The applicants have asked for an increased grant of $26,000 to cover the difference between the lowest bid and the second lowest bid. MOVED by Mr. Stone SUPPORTED by Mr. D’Agnillo To approve a combination loan of $32,000 and grant of $26,000 as submitted.
