Call to Order at 7:08 pm

Public Comment – None
Motion made by Mike Sherman, second by Bob Jurva to Approve the Agenda for
May 17, 2022. Approved.
Ex-Officio Report: Letters (602) went out regarding the Parade Route
Chairperson report: Judy Davids shared meeting with Therese Christman and her
speech. Parade starting from Washington/Lincoln and that Pancake Breakfast is
from 7 am – noon,
Motion to spend up to $100 to buy breakfast for the Boy Scouts made by Ilene
Harmon-McGough, second by John Williams. Approved.
Royal Oak Review will be doing an article on Therese Christman as speaker,
Parade route and the banner is up over Main Street.
Old Business
Healing Fields
DPS has a robot that will paint where the flags go – they will turn on the water to
make sure that no flags go in where the irrigation lines are. Boy Scouts will come
on Saturday and put the tags on – May 28th at 1 pm.
Last day, June 5th will have a Ceremony to read all 188 names listed on the
Memorial with a bell ring after each name.
Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
Still in need of a vehicle for the Grand Marshall
Cones and numbers to be set out starting at 7 am after road is closed. Need lists of
participants by number and by name (front and back of paper laminated) – need
approximately three copies.

Mike Sherman showed the wreath – it is beautiful.
Banner
It is up over Main Street now.
Judy did not hear back from the mobile company to make changes to the Memorial
as of yet.
Motion to approve 50 flags organization for Memorial Day made by Ilene
Harmon-McGough, second by John Williams. Approved.
We found a piper from the high school.
Program – there are a few changes that have been provided to Judy Davids.
New Business
John Williams noted that in the commemorative program, Frank Wendland’s
picture is next to an article of a Sailor that drowned. Judy to move around.
American Legion Color Guard was asked by Clawson to be there so they are
splitting their Color Guard between towns.
