Arkansas Dept. of Aeronautics Grant Update Bob Chatman - Some corrections and repairs were made. Invoices have been received. 2. Flight School Presentation- Ed Ingold – The time frame for the Flight School has been pushed back until May. NEW BUSINESS: 1. Survival Flight presentation- Lisa Bomar discussed services that are provided, and made recommendations for obtaining a membership. 2. Hangars- Discussion for proposals for hangar purchase – The Cogswel l Hangar is up for sale. The Commission has been pursuing funding for providing a large hangar suitable for attracting one or more aviation related businesses to the airport that would increase revenues for Airport Operations. The Cogswel l Hangar could be an answer to that goal at a much reduced price and provide an immediate solution to building a new hangar. Motion to support the Airport Manager to recommend acquisition to the City by LT, 2 nd by BW, Motion passed 6 – 0 with one ABS. 3. Placing Utilities Underground on RWY 7 Approach – The airport manager discussed the need to relocate overhead utilities along Hwy. 331 within the approach path of Runway 7 for safety reasons. The utility companies will be contacted for an estimated cost for utility relocation. 4. AIP Grant FY-19 Update- Bob Chatman discussed the status of the FY 19 Overlay and Lighting project. The project is estimated to cost $1.9 M.
