OLD BUSINESS
1. AIP Grant FY-19 Update- Bob Chatman – 1 Bid received from Blackstone
Construction Co., Two bids received on the runway lighting portion with the
low bid coming from Broadway Electric.
2. Website redesign(City) – Progressing with City IT personnel.
3. Discussion to start the process for making an ADA application for a grant to
build new hangars. ( Size and Quantity ) – Still gathering information. Site
preparation will be costly.
4. Cogswell Hangar – City Council is support of acquiring this hangar. The
Mayor requested vetting from the Economic Development Council. Need to
get an appraisal.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. State Report of Economic Impact of Airports. – Received a report
commissioned by the Arkansas Airport Commission. Russellville is now a
Level 4 Airport.
2. Fly-In Report - Music and Hot Dog roast successful. Another ve nue to be
held possibly in the F all called Picking and Grinning.
3. Rockin ’ The Runway – Planning ongoing. Three bands lined up to play.
The High School Jazz Band may attend. Dance Academies to attend with
T-shirt sales.
MISCELLANEOUS: :
Seth Lake has been appointed by the FAA as a Designated Pilot Examiner
and will provide Airman Check rides for initial and advanced pilot ratings.
