CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING 5:00 p.m., September 25, 2018 Central Fire Station Minutes from meeting. Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Toni Bachman Present Eric Westcott, City Council Liaison, Present Bert Fleck, Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Jim Horton, Present Jeff Humphrey, Police Chief, Absent Phillip Lea, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief, Absent Garrie Kellam, Chairman, Present Brent Hamm, Battalion Chief, Present Ray Watkins, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources, Present Jason Ramsey, Absent Wilson Short, Absent Chairman Kellam called the meeting to order at 5:10 p.m. The Commission reviewed the minutes of the August meeting. Toni Bachman made a motion that the minutes be approved. Phillip Lea seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. OLD BUSINESS Civil Service Commission  None Police Department  None Fire Department  None NEW BUSINESS Civil Service Commission A new chairman was elected due to Garrie Kellam’s term ending in September. Bert made a motion for Phillip Lea to be the Chairman, it was seconded by Jim. All voted in favor of Phillip Lea being the new Chairman. Police Department Bert, Toni, Jim, Phillip and Wilson will be at the entry level testing dates scheduled October 6, 2018 at 8am PAT and immediately after at 11am written exam – scheduled Jim, Toni and Phillip. Jason, Wilson, Toni, Phillip and maybe Bert will be at the oral exam October 13, 2018 at 8am at the Police Department. Fire Department Fire Department PAT and Tier Testing Date and Time: October 20th at 8am Location: Old Central Fire Station, 203 West 2nd, Russellville AR Civil Service Interview at City Hall (next door to old central fire station) Fire Department Written Exam Date and Time: October 27th at 8am Location: New Central Fire Station, 107 North El Paso, Russellville, AR Members who will be at testing – PAT and Tier Testing – Toni, Bert, Ray, Jim and Wilson Members who will be at the written exam – Phillip, Jim and Toni Meeting was adjourned at 5:50pm.
