RUSSELLVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES January 25 2022, 5:00 p.m., Central Fire Station, Russellville and Online via Google Meets Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Toni Bachman, Present David Ewing, Police Chief, Present Jon Brown, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief, Absent Ruben Camacho, Present Brent Moix, Battalion Chief, Present Bert Fleck, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources, Present Barbara Horton, Present Mark Lykins, Present Meeting Minutes Fleck moved and Camacho seconded the approval of minutes of October 26 and December 9, 2021. The Commission approved the minutes of the past meetings. NEW BUSINESS  Arrangements were made for Police new hire testing for February 5 and 12, 2022.  Chief Ewing proposed the hiring of certified officer Lucas Jackson. Lykins moved and Bachman seconded motion to allow hiring Jackson per Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 3, part IV, Suspension of Competition. The Commission approved the motion.  Chief Ewing proposed the hiring of certified officer Haley Russell. Camacho moved and Fleck seconded motion to allow hiring Russell per Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 3, part IV, Suspension of Competition. The Commission approved the motion.  Chief Moix informed the Commission of need to schedule Engineer and Captains promotional testing. Captains list is expired. Current Engineer list expires in June.  Chief Ewing informed the Commission of need to schedule Sergeant promotional testing. Current Sergeant list expires in May. At 5:40 p.m. the meeting adjourned.
