Village of Sackets Harbor Planning Board Regular Meeting January 17, 2024 Call to order Pledge of Allegiance Roll call and establish quorum Review Minutes: December 20, 2023 Regular Meeting Report to Village Board: January 9, 2024 Old Business #23-58 Whiskey Coop, LLC for property located at 214 ½ West Main Street, Sackets Harbor. Statement of Findings for Special Permit approval sent to applicant and Village Board. #23-61 Lawler Commercial Properties, LLC for property located at 10 Backus Road, Sackets Harbor. Applicant requests Site Plan Review to replace roofing. The project is in the Madison Barracks PDD and Historic Overlay zoning districts as well as the National Register District. The SEQR review was completed at the November meeting, a public hearing was held at the December meeting and the application was tabled, requesting additional information about the project. #23-62 Society for the Preservation of Madison Barracks, for property located at 85 Worth Road, Sackets Harbor. Applicant requests Site Plan Review to replace roofing. The project is in the Madison Barracks PDD and Historic Overlay zoning districts as well as the National Register District. The SEQR review was completed at the November meeting, a public hearing was held at the December meeting and the application was tabled, requesting additional information about the project. #23-65 Brian Krueger/James Miller for property located at 155 Pike Road, Sackets Harbor. Referral to the Village Board to complete the Site Plan review request regarding demolition of a structure within the Historic Overlay District. Applicant requested approval to demolish a garage and construct a new garage within the existing building footprint, in the Historic Overlay District. The Site Plan was approved at the December meeting and referred to the Village Board for a final determination regarding the structure’s demolition. New Business #23-66 Madison Barracks LLC, for property located at 104-127 Laguardia, Sackets Harbor. Applicant requests Site Plan Review to repair dormers, replace and paint siding, as well as other repairs to structures within Madison Barracks. The project is in the Madison Barracks PDD and Historic Overlay zoning districts as well as the National Register District. A public hearing has been scheduled. Ongoing Items for Consideration/Discussion • Lakeview Subdivision: completing infrastructure and compliance with IA • New application forms to incorporate Historic Review Board determinations and LWRP Coastal Policy reviews • Acceptable windows and doors for replacement projects within the Historic District • Creation of Subdivision and Special Permit Application form NEXT MEETING: February 21, 2024 2 #24-1 Madison Barracks LLC, for property located at 410-434 Brady Road, Sackets Harbor. Applicant requests Site Plan Review to replace a door. The project is in the Madison Barracks PDD and Historic Overlay zoning districts as well as the National Register District.
