Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Adoption of Ordinance No. 2020-150, adopting a Town Code Amendment to Chapter 3.05 (Privilege and Excise Taxes) of the Tax Code of the Town of Sahuarita by deleting Chapter 3.05 (Section 3.05.001 through Section 3.05.597) in its entirety and adopting in its replacement new Chapter 3.05 (Section 3.05.10 through Section 3.05.60), and repealing all resolutions, ordinances, and rules of the Town of Sahuarita in conflict therewith. C. Adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0638, authorizing the Town to enter into Sahuarita Contract No. 210009, an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town and the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30 for purposes of assigning a School Resource Officer to Walden Grove High School for the 2020/21 school year. D. Adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0639, authorizing the Town to enter into Sahuarita Contract No. 210010, an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town and Pima County regarding video court hearings for Town of Sahuarita municipal prisoners held at the Pima County Adult Detention Center for the term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 at an hourly rate at $32.53 per hour. E. Adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0640, authorizing the Town to enter into Amendment Three and Renewal to Intergovernmental Agreement (Sahuarita Contract No. 180035) between the Town and the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30 for the purpose of providing law enforcement education, training, and investigative functions by assigning a School Resource Officer to Sahuarita High School for the 2020/21 school year, which shall be funded utilizing school safety grant monies awarded to the Sahuarita Unified School District No. 30 through the State of Arizona Department of Education. F. Adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0641, authorizing the Town to enter into Town of Sahuarita Contract No. 210012, an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town and Pima County regarding the incarceration of the Town's Municipal Prisoners by Pima County at the Pima County Adult Detention Complex for the term of July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 at a cost of $420.65 per day for the first incarceration day (an increase of $71.84 from $348.81 per day from Fiscal Year 2019-20), and at a cost of $127.02 per day for each subsequent day of incarceration (an increase of $24.18 from $102.84 per day from Fiscal Year 2019-20). G. Adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0642, authorizing the Town to enter into Sahuarita Contract No. 200058, an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town and the State of Arizona Govenor’s Office for the distribution of federal financial assistance to the Town of Sahuarita in the amount of $3,607,337.00 from the State of Arizona AZCares Fund. H. Approval of Contract No. 210004, with Green Valley Assistance Services Inc., dba Valley Assistance Services, for emergency housing, shelter and utility assistance services in the amount of $50,000.00; commencing July 1, 2020 and terminating June 30, 2021; and approval of Contract No. 210005, for Emergency Food Services with the Community Food Bank-Green Valley Resource Center and Sahuarita Food Bank, in the amount of $42,000.00; commencing July 1, 2020 and terminating June 30, 2021. I. Approval of the Financial Participation Agreement, Contract No. 210008, between the Town of Sahuarita and The Green Valley|Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center, for funding partnership for economic development, in the amount of $25,000.00; commencing July 1, 2020 and terminating June 30, 2021. K. Authorization for the Town Manager to enter into contracts exceeding $50,000.00, with the approval of the Mayor, through August 23, 2020. SPECIAL MEETING 9. Presentation, discussion and possible adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0637, adopting the Fiscal Year 2021 budget in the amount of $59,660,000.00. Action recommended: adopt the resolution. CONTINUATION OF MEETING 10. Discussion and possible approval of an agreement, Contract No. 210011, between the Town of Sahuarita and Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, Inc. for the 2020 El Tour de Tucson Main Event. Action recommended: approve the agreement. 11. Presentation, discussion and possible adoption of Resolution No. 2020-0643, approving and adopting the Sahuarita COVID-19 Business Safety & Recovery Program. Action recommended: adopt the resolution. 12. Adjournment Action may be taken by the Town Council on any item listed on this agenda.
