AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL FEBRUARY 26, 2025 7:00 PM COURT ROOM OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING At approximately 6:30 PM, the Mayor and Council will hold a work session for the purpose of reviewing agenda items and signing bills. No official action will be taken during this time. Pledge of allegiance and moment of silence. 1. Call to order at 7:00 PM. 2. A resolution approving and dispensing with the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting of February 12, 2025 and the special meetings of January 27, 2025, January 30, 2025 and February 3, 2025. OLD BUSINESS. 3. A resolution adopting the City’s Non-union Personnel Attendance Policy effective February 7, 2025. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera NEW BUSINESS: 4. A resolution approving the Budget for the City of Salamanca for fiscal year April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 to raise the amount of $968,971.00 by taxes at a rate of $65.7112215 per one thousand of assessed valuation, which includes a 2% tax increase. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 5. A resolution accepting the quote of Crosby-O’Mann Inc., Salamanca, NY for the installation of a floor drain, cleanout and vent for the City Hall Records Storage Alterations project, in the amount of $6,800.00, to be covered by NYS Archives Improvement Grant funds. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 6. A resolution authorizing the City Clerk to properly advertise for bids on the Wildwood Cemetery mowing for the 2025 season. Sponsor: Council Member Hill 7. Certain appointments by the Mayor and Common Council 8. A resolution to waive the agenda rule to consider other items(s), if necessary. a. A resolution approving the removal of Jason Kosinski as Department of Public Works Parks Maintainer who resigned, effective February 3, 2025 and appointing Thomas Haynoski as Department of Public Works Parks Maintainer, effective February 18, 2025, according to the current DPW Union Contract.  b. A resolution accepting the retirement of Christopher Dowd as Firefighter effective March 1, 2025 and approve the separation payout. c. A resolution authorizing Urban Engineers, Buffalo, NY, to work on the Washington Street Reconstruction project previous handled by their firm in 2017 9. Communications from the Mayor and Council. 10. Reminder of other meetings – March 4th Fire at 6:30, March 5th IDA at 4:00, March 11th Library at 4:00, March 11th BPU at 6:00, March 12th DPW at 6:00, and the next Regular Council will be March 12th at 7:00.
