Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds Minutes of the May 13, 2021 Meeting Present: William P. Goreham, Sumner Jones and Richard Lobsitz The meeting was called to order at 1:00 P.M. The Council on Aging submitted an emergency request on April 22, 2021. A vote was taken by phone and it was agreed unanimously to pay $1,020.00 from the Endicott Fund and that the payment will be made directly to St. Pierre & Sons Moving. Payment was sent. Susan Syversen, CFP, our representative from the Eastern Bank, notified that Board that she has retired from the Bank. The Board extended their congratulations. The Board received two requests from the Cemetery Commission: 1. $1,872.22 from the Flower Funds for Memorial Day flowers at Greenlawn Cemetery. 2. $67,206.46 from the Perpetual Care Fund for general services throughout the Cemetery’s properties. Sumner Jones made a motion to approve the above transactions. The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously. Sumner Jones made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 8, 2021 meeting. The motion was seconded by Richard Lobsitz and voted unanimously. The Treasurer passed out the Eastern Bank Quarterly Report for review. The Board accepted the information for Quarter Ending March 31, 2021. The Board reviewed the proposals for FY2022 Large Grants. They will take all the information home and review it thoroughly and be prepared to vote on the requests at their June 10th meeting. The Clerk has only received two scholarship requests. The new scholarship forms are posted on-line and copies were sent to Salem High School Guidance and Salem State University Guidance. Additional forms will be forwarded to Bishop Fenwick High School, St. John’s Prep and St. Mary’s School. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at l: 35 P.M.
