Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds Minutes of the May 11, 2023 Meeting Present: William P. Goreham, Sumner Jones, Richard Lobsitz and Ashley Judge The meeting was called to order at 4:00 PM at the office of William P. Goreham, CPA. The Council on Aging submitted a request for medication reimbursement expenses for two Salem residents. Richard Lobsitz made a motion to approve $1,063.40 from the Endicott Fund for the expenses. The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously. Sumner Jones made a motion to approve the minutes of the April 13, 2023 meeting. The motion was seconded by Richard Lobsitz and voted unanimously. Thank you notes were received from the Plummer Youth Promise and LEAP for our continued support of their programs. The approved funding for Destination Imagination Team, Far From The Box, representing the City of Salem was forwarded to the Team Leader. (Approved: $2,500.00 ??? distribution: $450 from the Brown School Fund and $2050.00 from the Discretionary Fund.) William P. Goreham distributed the Eastern Bank???s Quarterly Report ending March 31, 2023. Total Market Value $10,363,045.38. The Board reviewed the information and it was accepted. The Board reviewed proposals and asked questions with our guests from the Plummer Youth Promise, Salem State University, the Samaritans, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and LEAP. The Board will make their decisions about the distribution of funds for FY24 at their June 8, 2023 meeting. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:15 PM.
