CITY OF SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS SALEM HARBOR PORT AUTHORITY MEETING MINUTES: June 06, 2019 A public meeting of the Salem Harbor Port Authority was convened at 5:00 pm in the large conference room located on the ground floor of Salem City Hall Annex, 98 Washington Street. Members present: Michael Rutstein ©, Mayor Kim Driscoll, Bob McCarthy- Ward 1 Councilor, Fred Atkins and Meaghan LeClerc. Others Present: Kathy Winn – Deputy Planner, Bill McHugh – Harbormaster/ FSO, Kate Fox-Executive Director, Destination Salem, Rinus Oosthoek – Salem Chamber of Commerce. Meeting called to order at 5:05pm. Minutes from the meeting convened on May 2, 2019 were reviewed. Motion by Mr. McCarthy and second by Ms. LeClerc to accept as recorded, Unanimous approval. Kate fox, Executive Director of Destination Salem addressed Authority members regarding enhanced infrastructure for the port area and the need for a location to park motor coaches that transport tourists into the City. Ms. Fox urged for an open mind regarding the ability to utilize space to get motor coaches off the street and enhanced amenities such as Wi-Fi throughout the port area. Mr. Rutstein entertains comments from the public. None offered. It was decided that the purchasing agent would be consulted for procurement Harbormaster McHugh provides update on upcoming events and arrivals. Mr. Rutstein reiterates the need to meet with Footprint principles. Salem Harbor Port Authority adjourned @ 5:56pm.  Page 2
