Welcome and Introductions. Followed by opportunity for public comment.

Additional announcements from liaisons and committee members
1. Minutes for June 7, 2022, must be reviewed by November 4, 2022,
and sent to Clerk. Motion made and 2nd Passed
2. Treasure Report – No Changes in the Treasure Report for the month
3. City of Salem is providing COVID-19 test
4. No Hate crimes one complaint cannot speak about at this time.
Some Graffiti Issues.
5. Disability Coalition Forest River Park opening on the June 18th. Lots
of new accessibility ramp entrance lap pool, upgrades locker room
Parks has availability on some grants to change the surface to
rubber. Funding for the Unified Sports Program and training.
Sidewalks are being painted will have more information June 13th
& 14th after 9 pm.
6. Committee meetings and Council meetings are now available on
YouTube SATV Government Channel
7. Pride Flag raising, reports that people were disappointed with the
amount of people at the flag rising
8. Participation of Pride – March in the parade and a table. There is a
cost of registration, Cost to march and a table 180 for table to
march it is one hundred. Many discussions on shirts and what funds
are available currently.

Pursuant to Governor Baker’s March 12, 2020, Order Suspending Certain Provisions of the Open
Meeting Law G.L. c. 30A §20, and the Governor’s March 15, 2020, Order Imposing strict limitations on
the number of people that may gather in one place, this meeting of the Salem Human Rights Coalition
will be conducted via remote participation to the greatest extent possible. Specific information and the
general guidelines for remote participation by members of the public and/or parties with a right and/or
requirement to attend this meeting can be found on the city’s website www.salem.com.

Salem Human Rights Coalition Values

* Microaggressions are casual remarks, questions, or actions that are painful because they have
to do with a person's membership in a group discriminated against or subject to stereotypes.
We expect ALL participants to abide by SHRC values while attending the meeting, or risk expulsion.
