Salem State University Neighborhood Advisory Committee January 2, 2019 – Minutes Attendees: Ben Szalewicz, Captain Richard Riggs, Chairman Dominick Pangallo, Adria Duijvesteijn, Dana Lothrop, Councillor Josh Turiel 1. Welcome and Introductions 2. Approval of November 7, 2018 Minutes • Approved 3. Construction Updates – Ben S, SSU • The staging from the roof repair will be removed soon. • A crane will be on campus for one day (possibly on 1/3/19) to put the materials for the solar panels, on the roof of the library. The panels will be installed at a later time. 4. Old Business A. Neighborhood Disturbances • No reports 5. New Business • No items Questions/Comments • There are 60 snow emergency parking passes available. (as of 1/2/19) • Polly asked why the shuttle is no longer going to the MBTA station. Adria advised that, that route was not used enough to warrant the SSU shuttle going there. • Josh asked to see shuttle schedule. Adria and Ben advised that the schedule is available online, along with the ability to track where the shuttle is. • Polly asked about the bus shelter. Dominick advised that they need to determine who is funding the bus shuttle, the city or the MBTA. Polly asked about advertising costs offsetting some of the costs of the shelter.
