Previous Meeting Minutes: We did not have a quorum for this meeting therefore we did not vote on minutes from August. Norms: Norms were reviewed, commissioners in attendance had no questions or further suggestions Youth Survey: So far we’ve had under 60 individuals take a survey. As a group we thought it would be best to extend the survey until October 17th which is our next SYC meeting. Youth in attendance Salem City Hall – 93 Washington Street – Salem, MA 01970-3592 Ph. 978-745-9595 Fax 978-744-9327 strategized how they will continue to promote the survey to get more youth involved. A couple stated they would talk to their school leaders, to students during service days, sports teams and via social media. Membership & New Business: Members present voiced their concern of members who have not attended consistently. We discussed alternatives and other possibilities of including associate members (who have been attending constantly) as voting members. Further details to be discussed at October meeting.
