CITY OF SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS Kimberley Driscoll Mayor Salem Youth Commission Meeting Minutes June 13, 2019 Attendance: Mikhaela Abreu, Aiyana Lilly, Diana Alushaj, Kaelin Panneton, Abigail Clark, Lily Kelley, David Turiel, Hannah Defranco, Shantel Alix Fernandez, Jillian Sholds Absent: Nick Angeramo, Johnny Fabian, Ishmael Telemaco, Laura Assade, Julia Roche, Luis Matos de Los Santos, Lour Drick Valsote Meeting Called to Order The meeting called to order at 6:10 pm Introductions & Public Comments: Youth Commissioners gave introductions. There were no public comments. Previous Meeting Minutes: May minutes were approved. Revisions made to attendance and dates. Discussion: - Decided on location of Advocacy Training (Espacio) - August 8th for community walkthrough - Truth Initiative Summit - Make decisions on SWAG - Lanyards, pens, bags, and shirts - Discussed upcoming projects and potential promotion opportunities - Information Sessions - Immersing Communities - A race, booth, etc to raise money - Domestic issues, language access, environment, education, diversity Next Meeting: June 27, 2019 at 98 Washington Street - room in the back Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 PM Salem City Hall – 93 Washington Street – Salem, MA 01970-3592 Ph. 978-745-9595 Fax 978-744-9327
