I. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order by Dan Stauffer at 10:00 am.

III. Public Comments: Gary White with the EAA Chapter 958 spoke about the need for a
new meeting place for their monthly EAA meetings. Dave Falleur with the EAA
Chapter 958 spoke about having a Young Eagle Fly-In within the next few weeks.
IV. Approval of June 18, 2019 minutes: David Badal made a motion for approval with a
second from Dan Stauffer. Approved 4-0.
V. Received an update regarding airport projects: Stacey Batch with Texas Aviation
Partners gave an update new hold short lines being installed at the intersection of
runway 26 and 17/35. She also commented on the cleaning on the movement line
that was recently completed.
Cassidy Berenato with Texas Aviation Partners gave an update regarding potential
repairs to the City owned T-Hangars as funding is available for the repairs. She also
discussed the minimums for runway 8 and runway 17. Runway 8 minimums will be
raised to 1 mile due to FM 110. Runway 17 minimums can be reduced to ¾ if the
telephone pole is lower by 12 inches from a property within the approach.
Chris Bagnall with Berry Aviation gave an overview regarding the transition of Berry
becoming the sole FBO on the field. He also advertised that they have hangar space
available due to the opening of their new maintenance facility.
Mrs. Berenato gave an update on the Kilo hangar which is now under construction.
Kirk Abbott with the City of San Marcos gave an update on FM 110 stating that the air
space study has been approved by the FAA and now the FAA is working on the land
release for the road.
VI. Received an update regarding air traffic control operations: Billy Whiting, Air Traffic
Control Manager gave an update on current operations showing an increase of over
6,000 operations a month. He also advised the board that he has resigned from his
position and will be relocating. The interim tower manager will be Andrè Murphy.
VII. Received verbal presentation from Garver on the Master Plan: Nathan Polsgrove with
Garver provided an update on the status of the Airport Master Plan and that within the
next few months Garver will be reaching out to the public for comments/suggestions.
VIII. Questions and answers: George Wilhite asked about the ILS RAILS and as well as
the outer marker. Steve Parker with the City of San Marcos gave an update about the
16 acres of airport property that will be used for a Fire Training Facility as well as a
new Fire Station in the future. Jim Wimberly with Texas Aviation Partners requested
that if anyone has items they would like to add to the agenda to please contact the
office before the next meeting so that it can be added. Tom Roach asked about
installing a sidewalk between Coast Flight Training and the Civil Air Patrol. He also
talked about using solar lights for the t-hangars, updating the entrance sign and
relocating the new FM 110 bridge.
