October 17, 2018 Main Street Program Office – 317 N. LBJ Dr. 5:30 P.M.

Minutes
1. Call to Order meeting at 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call: Ramika, Linda, Lisa, and Kelly absent
3. Citizen Comment Period
4. Consider Approval of Minutes of September 2018 Meeting – Caitlyn motions to approve minutes, Sara
Lee seconds, motion carries
5. Standing Reports:
Engineering –
o CM Allen – Staff to confirm whether or not construction is on schedule

6. Chairman’s Discussions
Innovation District stakeholder meeting report –
o Board Chair Kayli Head attended stakeholder meeting.
o Meetings are held once a month, the first of which was two weeks ago.
o Stakeholders have discussed Main Street “pillars” at meetings (concepts which are
familiar and integral to Main Street Program).
o Kayli would like to expand resources to downtown.
Reschedule November Board meeting & Organization Committee meeting –
o Board meeting: Kayli proposes moving November meeting to Wednesday, Nov. 14. Sara
Lee motions to move meeting to Nov. 14 at 5:30 pm at Main Street office. Ashley
seconds. Motion carries.
o Organization Meeting: Linda proposes moving committee meeting to Nov. 5, board

Sights and Sounds
Biscuit Meeting - Oct. 24 –
Updates: Rebecca has reached out to five organizations to take the second
weekend and no one is interested. Josie and Rebecca have communicated with S
& S staff that Main Street is unable to commit to 2 weekends.
Ideas:
o Invite Gary Job Corps to share work and profits.
o Offer second weekend nights to different COSM boards and commissions
Sub-Committee Meeting on Oct. 24 from 12-1 p.m. at MS office to further
discuss Sights and Sounds.
Order needs to be made before Oct. 31
Project Landmark –
Celebration of Hope: Open House Weekend on Oct. 20-21 from 12-3 p.m. at Cephas
House.
Voting ends on Oct. 26
