City of San Marcos Regular Meeting MINUTES Main Street Advisory Board Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 5:30pm Main Street Office 317 N LBJ Dr San Marcos, Texas I. Call To Order 5:32 II. Roll Call Present: Matt Akins, Linda Coker, Cory Glisson-Munier, Caitlyn Strickland, Ashley McCafferty, Sarah Simpson Staff Present: Josie Falletta III. Citizen Comment Period: No citizens present. MINUTES 1. Consider approval of the April 17, 2019 meeting minutes. The minutes from the meeting of April 17, 2019 were approved on Board Member Strickland’s motion, Board Member Glisson-Munier’s second on a 7-0 vote. ACTION ITEMS 2. Consider Organization Committee recommendation for June Partner of the Month. Recommendation approving Rhea’s Ice Cream as the June Partner of the month was approved on Board Member Strickland’s motion, Board Member McCafferty’s second on a 7-0 vote. DISCUSSION ITEMS 3. Review committee input for downtown Transformation Strategies and develop goals and objectives for Main Street along the Four Point Approach. Recommendation to invite Texas Downtown Association for a downtown assessment and use of $1,500 Main Street budget to do so was approved on Board Member McCafferty’s motion, Board Member Strickland’s second on a 7-0 vote. REPORTS 4. Main Street Program Report Motion to utilize Advisory Board funding for two board members to attend the annual Texas Main Street conference was approved by Board Member McCafferty’s motion, Board Member Strickland’s second on a 7-0 vote. 5.
