Absent: Linda Coker, Ashley McCafferty, Mark Gleason, Chance Sparks

III. Citizen Comment Period:
Persons wishing to participate (speak) during the Citizen Comment portion of the meeting must email jfalletta@sanmarcostx.gov prior to 12:00PM the
day of the meeting. Comments shall have a time limit of three minutes each. Any threatening, defamatory or other similar comments prohibited by
Chapter 2 of the San Marcos City Code will not be read.
MINUTES
1. The November 17, 2021, meeting minutes were approved on Board Member Collin’s motion, Board
Member Lynn’s second, on an 5-0 vote.
ACTION
2. The grant request from Smoothie Warriors, for the replacement of their damaged storefront awning,
was approved in the amount of $185 on Board Member Simpson’s motion, Board Member Lynn’s
second, on a 5-0 vote.
DISCUSSION ITEMS
3. Ms. Falletta presented on the prospective 2022 event calendar which was developed by the
Event Subcommittee and the projected event budget for the year. Areas of discussion
included:
• GRA Trail Riders event happening February 7, 2022. Main Street will host the
group this year and ask the Trail Riders to submit an event application for 2023.
• MLK Day Events: Board Member Collins presented on the CommonUnity
Festival happening on the Hays County Courthouse Grounds on January 16,
2022
REPORTS
4. Main Street Program Report: Staff presented updates on the completion of the Guadalupe Cycle
Track, Sights & Sounds Biscuit Booth volunteer event, Main Street internship opportunities, and the
2022 5-Star Reviews video series.
