City of San Marcos Special Called Meeting Main Street Advisory Board Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 5:00pm Attend in Person: Chamber of Commerce Large Conference Room 202 N CM Allen Pkwy, San Marcos, TX 78666 The presiding officer for this meeting will be present at the meeting location described above. Citizen Comment Period: Persons wishing to participate (speak) during the Citizen Comment portion of the meeting must email jfalletta@sanmarcostx.gov prior to 12:00PM the day of the meeting. Comments shall have a time limit of three minutes each. Any threatening, defamatory or other similar comments prohibited by Chapter 2 of the San Marcos City Code will not be read. ACTION ITEMS 1. Grant Application – Review grant application from Hometown Salon, originally approved on January 15, 2025, for $1,775.00. Hometown Salon would like to request additional funding for power washing to remove graffiti paint residuals and adding fresh paint. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS lV. HOMETOWN SALON - GRANT INCREASE REQUEST Summary Hometown Salon was tagged on the business facade. Owner Lisa Forrester has requested additional funds for power washing and repainting of the storefront. Original Project Signage: $1,300.00 Paving & Ramp: $2,250.00 Total Project: $3,550.00 Approved 50% Reimbursement: $1,775.00 Additional Project: Estimate: $4,350.00 50% Reimbursement: $2,175.00 Total for both projects: $3,550.00+$4,350.00 = $7,900.00 Combined 50% Reimbursement: $3,950.00
