Meeting called to Order Neighborhood Commission Chairman Elena Duran called the meeting to order at 6:15p.m. 2. Roll Call Members Present: Elena Duran, Carol Frank, Mary Ann Pope, Lizbeth Dobbins, Blanca Loya, Michelle Mc Watters, Tom Rowe, Mark Gleason Member Absent: Kenneth Dees, Terence Parker, Bob Jett, 3. Approval of Minutes Motion made by Michelle Mc Waters to Dated August 17, 2016 approve minutes dated August 17, 2016, seconded by Lizbeth Dobbins with amended corrections showing that Lizbeth Dobbins was in attendance at the July 20, 2016 Neighborhood Commission meeting. All in favor and minutes approved. 4. Citizens Comment Period. Jason Montgomery introduced himself to the Board as a City Council Candidate for Place 3. Thanking the Neighborhood Commission for all they do for the City 5. Update on Community Welcome by Lisa Dvorak Lisa Dvorak asked the Board to meet at the corner of Gerald @ Hazelton (vacant property) and arrive at approximately 5pm for a group picture and afterwards to walk the neighborhood distrusting information on the different City Departments and phone numbers. 6. Neighborhood Commission Board will take a tour throughout Neighborhood Commission toured the City the City visiting different neighborhoods. 7. Commissioner’s and Staff Reports Elena introduced the newest Neighborhood Commissioner Mark Gleason representing Sector 6, Blanco Gardens Neighborhood. Tome Rowe – met with Apartment Manager of the Wildwood Apts., and walked the property. Ken Bell – advised that the vacant structure on Mill Street should be demolished soon. 8. Questions from the Press and Public John Garcia – Made contact with the Apt. Manager of the Woods Apartments regarding banners on balconies.
