Neighborhood Commission Regular Meeting Agenda October 16, 2019 at 6:15 p.m. Neighborhood Enhancement Conference Room 630 E Hopkins, Bldg. 5, San Marcos, Texas 78666 I. Call to Order Please note that all commission meetings may be recorded and uploaded to the City’s website at www.sanmarcostx.gov II. Roll Call III. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period: Each speaker signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will be called in order of sign-up, and will be allowed three minutes to speak about items posted or not on the agenda. IV. MINUTES: Consider approval, by motion, of the September 18, 2019 meeting minutes V. PRESENTATIONS a) Receive presentation by Planning & Development Services staff by request of commissioners regarding development on Sturgeon. VI. ITEMS FOR ACTION/DISCUSSION a) Discuss and consider for possible action a draft resolution to Council regarding development on Sturgeon. b) Discuss and consider for possible action recommending use of TASA funds to increase pedestrian crossing safety at Wonder World and I35 intersection. c) Discuss and consider for possible recommendation changes to Commission representation in Sector 8. d) Discuss and finalize Neighborhood Commission event planning for 2020. VII. REPORTS a) Commissioner Report: Neighborhood Commission final pillar “effective collaboration” overview by Lizbeth Dobbins b) Commissioner Report: Wonder World/Hunter TXDOT project update by Lizbeth Dobbins c) Commissioner Report: Update on Neighborhood Conversation, Sector 2 by Joe Cantu/Roland Saucedo d) Staff Report: Neighborhood Vitality Grant Pilot Update by Samantha Armbruster e) Staff Report: Texas Town & Gown Symposium by Samantha Armbruster f) Staff Report: 2020 Commissioner Recruitment g) Staff Report: Update on Residential Rental Registration by Shanna O’Brien, Code Compliance Manager VIII.
