Regular Meeting Senior Citizens Advisory Board Tuesday, June 11, 2019 2:00 PM San Marcos Activity Center 501 E. Hopkins San Marcos, Texas AGENDA I. Call to Order II. Roll Call III. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period (Each speaker signed up prior to the meeting being called to order will be called in the order in which they signed-up. Each speaker will be provided up to three minutes to speak. IV. MINUTES 1. Consider approval, by motion, of the March 12, 2019 meeting minutes. V. Action Items 2. Discuss and select, by motion, recipient of the 2019 Outstanding Senior Citizen Volunteer Award. VI. Discussion Items 3. Discuss 2019 Outstanding Senior Citizen Volunteer Award presentation on Senior Citizens Day.. 4. Discuss new bylaws that were adopted in December for new board members. 5. Review / Discuss Senior Citizen Advisory Board Mission and Goals Statement and Senior Citizen Advisory Board Ordinance for new members. 6. Discuss working on an “elder friendly design” brochure similar to the one the Georgetown Senior Advisory Board put out. 7. Discuss putting together a Senior Database, a “one stop shop” for all things Senior Citizens. 8. Discuss the board writing up something to present to council about the need for a senior citizen center. VII. Future Agenda Items Board Members may provide requests for discussion items for a future agenda in accordance with the board’s approved bylaws. No further discussion will be held related to topics proposed until they are posted on a future agenda in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act. VIII. Question and Answers from the Press and Public This is an opportunity for the Press and Public to ask questions related to items on this agenda. IX.
