MEMBERS PRESENT: Dr. Mark Manahan, Chairman
Joe Stephenson
Rick Westcott

The Airport Advisory Board met in a regular session on Thursday, May 9, 2019
In the Airport Terminal conference room at the Sand Springs - Pogue Airport, pursuant to the
agenda filed with the City Clerk’s office, and posted at 10:00 a.m. on May 6, 2019 on the
bulletin board located in the first floor lobby of the Sand Springs Municipal Building, 100 East
Broadway Sand Springs, Oklahoma 74063.
1. Call to Order
Chairman Manahan called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.
2. Roll Call
Chairman Manahan called for individual roll call with members replying in the following
manner:
Dr. Campbell, here; Dr. Manahan, here; Mr. Fleenor, no response; Mr. Stephenson, here;
Mrs. Anderson, no response; Mr. Kvach, no response; Mr. Westcott; here
3. Minutes
The minutes of the April 11, 2019 Regular Airport Advisory Board meeting were
included in the agenda packets for the Board’s review and approval.
A motion was made by Dr. Campbell and seconded by Mr. Westcott that the minutes of
the April 11, 2019 Airport Advisory be approved with changes.
Chairman Manahan called for the vote recorded as follows:
Mr. Fleenor, no response; Dr. Manahan, aye; Dr. Campbell, aye; Mr. Stephenson, aye;
Mrs. Anderson, no response; Mr. Kvach no response; Mr. Westcott, aye.
4. ISR 1000 COMMITTEE REPORT
Committee Chairman updated the Board Members on airport improvements, upcoming
events and any other activities including scheduled events of interest to the Board
Members.
5. ENGINEERS REPORT
Staff and board members discussed any pending airport CIP projects of interest,
FAA/OAC funding.

6. FEASIBILITY OF INSTALLING JET-A FUEL SYSTEM
Staff and board members discussed the feasibility of installing Jet-A system/providing
service at SSPA.

7. AIRCRAFT HANGAR DEVELOPMENT
Staff and board discussed the airport hangar construction at Sand Springs Pogue Airport.

8. AIRPORT SUPERVISOR’S MONTHLY MANAGEMENT REPORT
The board and staff reviewed and discussed the monthly management report for April
2019.

9. ADJOURNMENT
The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2019.
The meeting adjourned at 5:46pm.

c) Renovations/improvements to airport terminal
d) Governmental Affairs Report

5. ENGINEERS REPORT
Staff and Board members will discuss any pending airport CIP projects of interest, FAA/OAC funding.

a) Update on any upcoming projects FAA projects for the airport.

6. FEASIBILITY OF INSTALLING JET-A FUEL SYSTEM
Staff and Board members will discuss the feasibility of installing Jet-A system/providing service at
SSPA.

a) Board members and staff will discuss the feasibility of City of Sand Springs/Sand Springs Municipal
Authority installing Jet-A system/providing service at SSPA.

Board Members and Staff will discuss airport hangar construction, infrastructure, codes and any other
information associated with hangar development at airport.

a) Construction of hangars, infrastructures, codes and information for hangar development.

8. AIRPORT SUPERVISOR’S MONTHLY MANAGEMENT REPORT
The Airport Supervisor will update Board members about upcoming events, activities, and general
operations of the airport.
Items to be discussed:
a) Monthly Management Report.
b) Updates Ullrich Aviation Hangar, Sand Springs Home Hangar

The next Airport Advisory Board Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 13, 2019.
