Vehicle Purchase Reclassification - 1/2 Pickup Truck to Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV)
Subject:________________________________________________________________________
Item #: C-3
_____________ Budgeted
Cost: ______________ Approval
Recommendation:____________________
Synopsis:
Reclassify the 1/2 Ton 4WD Truck line item to 4WD/AWD Sport Utility Vehicle. Vehicle is budgeted and planned
purchase is within budget.
Details:
The line item for Neighborhood Services in the City's FY-22 Short-Term Capital Fund specified purchasing a 1/2-Ton
4WD truck. The department re-evaluated its current and future needs, as well as future needs by other departments
should the vehicle be transferred, and a sport utility vehicle (SUV) made practical sense. There are 2022 SUVs
available for order with 4WD/AWD on state contract at approximately the same cost as the previously specified truck.
