The Sand Springs Cultural & Historical Museum Trust Authority met for a regular
meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, pursuant to the agenda filed at the City Clerk’s
office and posted at 4:30pm on June 14, 2012, on the bulletin board located in the first
floor lobby of the Sand Springs Municipal Building, 100 East Broadway, Sand Springs,
Oklahoma.
1. CALL TO ORDER –
Chairwoman Nobles called the meeting to order at the noted time of 6:04pm
2. ROLL CALL –
Chairwoman Nobles called for an individual roll call with members replying in the
following manner:
Breisch, here Crawford, no answer Dixon, here Dubie, here
Nobles, here Phillips, no answer Whitaker, here
3. MINUTES (May 15, 2012)
Ed Dubie made the motion to approve the minutes, as presented. Betty Breisch
seconded the motion.
Chairwoman Nobles called for an individual roll call with members replying in the
following manner:
Breisch, aye Dixon, aye Dubie, aye Nobles, aye Whitaker, abstain

4. BILLS (May) –
None
5. DISCUSSION OF MUSEUM –
City Manager, Rocky Rogers was present and a discussion was held.
a. The deed to the Museum (formerly Page Library) has been signed over
to the City of Sand Springs.
b. City wants Museum Trust to take responsibility running the Museum.
c. City will still do major repairs. Trust will be liable for all other repairs/
maintenance
d. City Manager requests that one council member be appointed to the
Museum Trust Board and that council member, as well as City Manager,
will serve as exofficio members to the Board.
e. The Agreement that is now in place will be modified to reflect that City will
not be responsible for day-to-day operations of Museum. The Agreement
will then be sent to the Museum Trust Board for their review. Lastly, the
Agreement will then be taken to the July City Council meeting for their
review and/or consideration.

6. FINANCIAL REPORT (May) –

7. APPROVAL OF PROPOSED BUDGET (FY2012/2013) –
Tim Dixon made the motion to approve the proposed 2012/2013 Budget. Betty
Breisch seconded the motion.

The motion carried 5-0-0
8. APPROVAL TO DE-ACCESS ANY/ALL PAPERS AND/OR ITEMS DEEMED
NOT NECESSARY FO RMUSEUM TO KEEP/MAINTAIN –
Grady Whitaker made the motion to approve the de-accession of any/all papers
and/or items not necessary (mostly old railroad items) at Second Street Storage.
Betty Breisch seconded the motion.

9. MUSEUM ASSOCIATION REPORT (Patty DIxon) –
Written report was distributed to Board Members.
NOTE: For the months of July and August only, the Museum
will open the first and third Saturday’s (10:00am-2:00pm)

11. ADJOURNMENT –
Per Chairwoman Nobles, there being no further information to discuss, the
meeting was adjourned at 7:12pm.
