MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING SAND SPRINGS PARK ADVISORY BOARD Monday, November 4, 2013 Case Community Center 1050 W. Wekiwa Rd. Room AB - 6:30pm May 2013 to April 2014 MEMBERS PRESENT: Cathy Burdge 3-1 Daniel Comer 4-0 Patty Dixon 4-0 Jennifer Smith 2-2 Beau Wilson 3-1 MEMBERS ABSENT: Harold Neal 2-2 Phil Nollan 2-2 ALSO PRESENT: Grant Gerondale, Park Director Paula Jones, Recording Secretary Jeff Edwards, Facilities Manager Joe Medlin, Landscape Foreman The Sand Springs Park Board met for a special meeting on November 4, 2013, pursuant to the agenda filed at the City Clerk’s office and posted at 3:30pm on October 29, 2013, on the digital display board located in the first floor lobby of the Sand Springs Municipal Building, 100 East Broadway, Sand Springs, Oklahoma. 1. CALL TO ORDER – Chairman, Cathy Burdge, called the meeting to order at the noted time of 6:26pm. 2. ROLL CALL – Chairman, Cathy Burdge, called for an individual roll call with members replying in the following manner: Burdge, here Comer, here Dixon, here Neal, no answer Nollan, no answer Smith, here Wilson, here 3. INVOCATION – Chairman, Cathy Burdge, asked Beau Wilson to deliver the invocation. 4. MINUTES (September 5, 2013) – Beau Wilson made the motion to approve the Minutes, as presented. Patty Dixon seconded the motion. Chairman, Cathy Burdge, called for the vote recorded as follows: Burdge, aye Comer, aye Dixon, aye Smith, aye Wilson, aye The motion carried 5-0-0 Minutes – Cont’d -2- November 4, 2013 5. APPROVAL OF SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS (2014) – Beau Wilson made the motion to approve the Parks Advisory Board schedule of meetings for 2014. Jennifer Smith seconded the motion. Chairman, Cathy Burdge, called for the vote recorded as follows: Burdge, aye Comer, aye Dixon, aye Smith, aye Wilson, aye The motion carried 5-0-0 6. PARK PLANNING SESSION – Board and Staff discussed park planning strategies for River City Park sports complex sites. Information only – no action taken 7. DIRECTOR’S REPORT – Parks Director, Grant Gerondale had to leave the meeting to attend the City Council meeting. Jeff Edwards and Joe Medlin updated the Board about recent and upcoming events and projects. Information only – no action taken 8.
