CITY OF SANDY OAKS ANIMAL CONTROL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA October 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Sandy Oaks Animal Control Advisory Committee will be held, Monday, October 11, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at 22780 Priest Rd, Sandy Oaks, TX 78112. All agenda items are subject to action. The public will be permitted to offer public comments in person, telephonically or by video as provided by the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting by signing up with the committee chair at least 15 minutes in advance of the meeting if providing comments in person and at leaset two hours in advance of the meeting by emailing jpuente@cityofsandyoaks.com or by calling (210) 607-0834 if speaking telephonically or by video. Written comments may be submitted to the committee chair up two hours before the meeting by emailing jpuente@cityofsandyoaks.com and will be provided to the committee for their consideration. 1. Call to Order. 2. Citizens to be heard. Persons wishing to speak may sign up with the Chairperson at least one hour in advance of the meeting by emailing jpuente@cityofsandyoaks.com or calling (210) 870-0219. This item allows the public to address the Animal Control Advisory Committee on issues affecting the community and the City. This item will be open for up to 30 minutes with 3 minutes to each speaker. If there are more than 10 speakers, each will be given 2 minutes. 3. Announcements- Nixle Alerts –Sign up by texting ACAC to 888777 to begin receiving alerts. 4. Discuss and/or possible action on update on the ACO positions (full and part time positions). 5. Discuss and/or possible action on the ACAC’s presence on social media. Stray intakes, volunteer opportunities, informative messages to boost spaying/neutering pets, microchipping, ect. 6. Discuss and/or possible action on updates on the animals currently in custody in our Animal Shelter, being fostered or scheduled for placement. 7. Discuss and/or possible action on improved reporting of intake to ACAC members: a. Stray Animal Intake Log b. Euthanasia Log 8. Adjourn.
