Brad Olsen, Applicant, gave an overview of the proposed item. Mitch Vance stated Commissioner Joe Baker asked if the one foot standard sidewalk and the fence. Mitch Vance stated The Chair opened this item to public comment. Rebecca Backet asked about the plans for the proposed project. The Planning Commission Members, Rebecca, and staff had a brief discussion anout the plans. The Cjair closed this item to public comment. A motion was made by Joe Baker, seconded by Michael Christopherson, that this Staff recommends that the Planning Commission determine that preliminary review is complete for the Mockingbird Estate Subdivision, located at 1247 E. Mockingbird Ln., subject to the following conditions: Conditions: 1. That the applicant complies with each department's comments and redlines throughout the final review process and that all issues be resolved before the subdivision can be recorded. 2. That all City provisions, codes and ordinances are adhered to during the review, construction, and operations process of this project. 3. That the covering over the patio on the west side of the existing house be removed prior to the recording of the plat, and that said covering will not be shown on the Final Plat... Sullivan Heward, applicant stated The chair opend this item to puvlic comment and th4e re A motion was made by Cory Shupe, seconded by Cyndi Sharkey, that this Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve a Conditional Use Permit for additional height and size of an accessory structure for the property located at 11086 South 115 East, based on the following findings and conditions: Finding 1. Staff finds that the proposed accessory structure meets the intent of Section 15A-11-02 of the Sandy City Development Code regarding accessory structures in the R-1-40A zoned properties. Conditions 1. That the proposed structure comply with all applicable Building & Safety, and Fire & Life Codes. 2. That the applicant be responsible for meeting all provisions of the Sandy City Development Code, and all conditions of approval imposed by the Planning Commission. 3. That this Conditional Use Permit be reviewed upon legitimate complaint. 4. That the applicant construct the structure according to the renderings provided at 1,800 square feet and 21 feet in height. 5. That the structure not be used for a home occupation without a separate conditional use permit. 6. That if the structure is used to store vehicles, that a hard surface driveway be installed to provide legal access... Justin Grubb, Applicant, gave an overview of the proposed sign theme update. Commissioner Joe Baker asked how many sides the sign would have. Justin Grubb stated four. The Chair opened this item to the public and there was none. A motion was made by Dave Bromley, seconded by Cory Shupe, that this Staff recommends that the Planning Commission approve the sign theme update amendment for 10210 South State Street to allow the installation of the proposed signs as shown in the applicant's attached plans, and based on the following findings and conditions: Findings 1. Staff finds that the proposed sign theme meets the intent of Section 15A-26-10 of the Sandy City Development Code regarding approval by the Planning Commission for developments of seven or more acres and having more than 300 linear feet of frontage. 2. The proposed sign design meets the sign design elements regarding architectural compatibility, size, scale, proportion, illumination, color and style, and location as approved by the Planning Commission. Conditions 1. That installed signage match the location and design of the submitted renderings. 2. A sign permit be obtained from the Community Development Department for the proposed sign, with any future amendments to be reviewed by the Planning Commission... Planning Commission Motion In order to be considerate of everyone attending the meeting and to more closely follow the published agenda times, public comments will be limited to 2 minutes per person per item. A spokesperson who has been asked by a group to summarize their concerns will be allowed 5 minutes to speak. Comments which cannot be made within these time limits should be submitted in writing to the Community Development Department prior to noon the day before the scheduled meeting. Planning Commission applications may be tabled if: 1) Additional information is needed in order to take action on the item; OR 2) The Planning Commission feels there are unresolved issues that may need further attention before the Commission is ready to make a motion. No agenda item will begin after 11 pm without a unanimous vote of the Commission. The Commission may carry over agenda items, scheduled late in the evening and not heard, to the next regular scheduled meeting.
